Milestone broadens charter operations and supports expansion of the Embraer 170 fleet
ST. PAUL, MN, UNITED STATES, August 27, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Best Jets International is proud to announce that it has received FAA Part 121 Supplemental Air Carrier Certification, expanding the company’s ability to provide larger group charter solutions with its Embraer 170 fleet which will eventually be based in the Midwest and Florida.
With the certification in place, Best Jets now offers four Embraer 170 aircraft for charter service, including two 30-passenger executive configuration aircraft and two 60-passenger aircraft. The expanded fleet provides charter brokers, corporate travel planners, sports organizations, tour operators, and group travel customers with additional capacity and flexibility for charter missions throughout the United States.
While Best Jets has successfully operated its 30-passenger executive Embraer 170 aircraft for years under Part 135, the Part 121 certification expands opportunities for the company’s 60-passenger aircraft, enabling larger group charter operations and opening new possibilities for customers seeking an alternative to traditional commercial airline travel. Best Jets International will continue to operate both their existing Part 135 operation as well as the new Part 121 Supplemental certification. The existing private jet fleet includes midsize, super-midsize, and long-range aircraft, providing customers with charter options suited to a wide range of passenger capacities and travel needs.
The Embraer 170 occupies a unique position in the charter market by bridging the gap between private jets and commercial airliners. With a spacious stand-up cabin, generous baggage capacity, and comfortable seating, the aircraft delivers the convenience and flexibility of private aviation while accommodating larger groups that would otherwise require multiple business aircraft or commercial airline arrangements.
“The Embraer 170 is an ideal aircraft for organizations that need to move groups efficiently while maintaining the service, flexibility, and convenience that private aviation provides,” said Troy Salwei, Vice President of Commercial Operations at Best Jets International. “Receiving Part 121 certification allows us to expand our capabilities and better serve customers requiring larger-capacity charter solutions.”
The aircraft are well suited for a wide range of group travel needs, including corporate shuttle programs, manufacturing travel, retail distribution network support, entertainment tours, sports teams, luxury tours, and special event transportation.
Best Jets offers both on-demand charter flights and dedicated shuttle programs tailored to each client’s operational requirements. By providing direct access to destinations throughout the United States, customers can reduce travel time, avoid commercial airline constraints, and move groups together more efficiently.
Best Jets International has built a reputation for safety, service, and operational excellence. The addition of Part 121 Supplemental Air Carrier Certification represents another milestone in the company’s continued commitment to providing innovative aviation solutions for customers nationwide.
Charter brokers and customers interested in Embraer 170 availability, corporate shuttle programs, or large-group charter solutions are encouraged to contact Best Jets International for additional information at sales@bestjetsintl.com.
