National recognition highlights Modigent’s commitment to developing the next generation of skilled trades professionals
PHOENIX, AZ, UNITED STATES, August 11, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Modigent, a national leader in infrastructure, technology, and energy solutions, has been named 2026 Apprenticeship Program of the Year by Interplay Learning, a leading provider of immersive training for the skilled trades and industrial crafts.
The recognition was presented alongside the 2026 Interplay Excellence Awards, which honor organizations across Interplay’s international customer base that demonstrate innovation, measurable impact, and leadership in workforce development and technical training.
The honor recognizes Modigent’s National Apprenticeship Program for its commitment to developing highly skilled technicians while creating meaningful career pathways in the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, and energy services industries.
“Our partnership with Interplay Learning has been instrumental in the success and scalability of our National Apprenticeship Program,” said Ryan Elder, Vice President of Human Resources & Talent Capabilities at Modigent. “Receiving this recognition is a testament to the incredible work of our apprentices, instructors, and mentors across the country who are committed to investing in people and building the future of our industry.”
Modigent’s apprenticeship program has become a cornerstone of the company’s long-term workforce strategy. Registered through the U.S. Department of Labor, the program combines classroom instruction, immersive digital learning, hands-on technical training, and on-the-job mentorship to prepare apprentices for successful careers in the skilled trades.
“We are proud to honor Modigent as Interplay Learning’s Apprenticeship Program of the Year recipient,” said Dona Thompson, Head of Apprenticeships, Interplay Learning. “Modigent’s commitment to providing an apprenticeship program is centered around a flexible, long-term career growth strategy. By integrating Interplay’s simulation-based training, Modigent has created a sustainable, scalable approach to developing skilled talent across its organization.”
The recognition comes during a year of continued growth for the program. Modigent recently surpassed its goal of enrolling 100 apprentices nationwide. The newest cohort will begin in September 2026.
“Our industry depends on attracting and developing the next generation of skilled professionals,” said Dan Bueschel, Chief Executive Officer of Modigent. “This recognition validates the investments we’ve made in our people and reinforces our belief that workforce development is one of the most important ways we can strengthen our company, support our customers, and advance the industries we serve.”
Interplay Learning’s Excellence Awards celebrate organizations that have achieved transformational results through workforce training and skill development. Award recipients are selected by a panel of industry leaders representing organizations across the skilled trades and industrial sectors.
As Modigent continues its national expansion, the company remains focused on creating rewarding career opportunities, strengthening technical expertise, and equipping employees with the tools and training needed to succeed throughout their careers.
