New details highlight fully renovated accommodations, the introduction of Family Suite (Outdoor Jacuzzi), expanded dining offerings and Caribbean Water Park.
MIAMI, FL, UNITED STATES, September 17, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — With its November 5 reopening approaching, Majestic Colonial Punta Cana is sharing new details of its $40 million renovation, including the complete transformation of more than 600 guest rooms across the Family Section (All Ages) and The Club (Adults Only 18+). Every room will feature a brand-new bathroom, an indoor bathtub and an outdoor Jacuzzi, while 30 existing rooms will be converted to introduce Family Suite (Outdoor Jacuzzi) as a new category at the resort.
At 1,025 square feet, each Family Suite (Outdoor Jacuzzi) will accommodate up to six guests and include a main bedroom with a king-size bed, a separate living area with two Murphy beds and a sofa bed, two restrooms and an outdoor Jacuzzi.
The resort’s dining offerings will expand with the addition of Toscana, a new Italian restaurant featuring an outdoor terrace. Taíno, the Mexican restaurant, will undergo a complete renovation that includes a new outdoor terrace, adding to the resort’s open-air dining options. The Supreme International Buffet Restaurant will also be fully renovated.
Another major addition is Caribbean Water Park, a multi-zone water park with multiple water slides, a lazy river and dedicated areas for different age groups. Its design draws inspiration from the natural character of Los Haitises National Park, with visual references to mangroves, tropical vegetation, limestone formations and Taíno-influenced elements.
Majestic Colonial Punta Cana will reopen on November 5, 2026, more than two decades after opening as Majestic Resorts’ original flagship property in Playa Bávaro.
